Rugged construction

The Mol rail-road vehicles are specifically built for its purpose. The chassis consists of a complete robust welded construction of thick plates which offer a high resistance to pushing- and pulling forces during the shunting. The body which is also manufactured in thick plates, offers a high resistance in case of collisions. All weight necessary to transmit the tractive effort, is integrated in the construction. There is no use of ballast weights, which keeps the centre of gravity low.

Both buffer plates are equipped with a hook and buffers so that the Mol Rail-Road vehicle can perform pull- and push actions. Couplers of different kinds, as well automatic couplers belong to the possibilities.
