Easy access
The maintenance-friendly design is characteristic of the rail-road vehicle. Some features:
- The transmission can be easily uncoupled from the driving axles so that hauling can be done without dismounting propeller shafts
- The parking brake can be suspended mechanically
- The guiding device can be operated by a manual pump and a distributor valve
- The vehicle can be transported on a standard lowboy
- All equipment is properly mounted in locked compartments with easy access
- No ballast weights which hinder the access
- Points of measurement are plentiful present
- The parts and components originate from truck industry and from the earthmoving machines market, consequently off-the-shelf available
Maintenance can be handled by the same engineers as those involved in road fleets, without the need for or cost of specialist locomotive technicians and servicing facilities.
